When I decided to invest in a personal trainer I was looking for a female like myself, someone I could relate to, someone with a warm nature and especially who I was comfortable with. Living an alcohol fuelled, party-lifestyle was taking its toll on me and as I was approaching my late 20s without any structured exercise in my life for many years it was daunting to embark on a regiment so foreign to me... I conjured up ideas of male-run military boot-camp style sessions that would end in me giving up and feeling as thought I’d wasted my valuable money. I was pleasantly surprised when I first spoke to Vicki and her warm manner and genuine interest immediately put me at ease. I booked in straight away. Vicki & I started 2 sessions per week and despite my Monday morning hangovers I still looked forward our sessions and made (most of) them! Vicki remained patient and understanding with me and my situation whilst still providing the training and results I needed I can honestly say that had Vicki not had the characteristics she has I doubt I would have continued after the first few weeks. It was wonderful to witness my fitness improve – to go from being able to manage only a handful of push-ups initially to 40 push-ups in 30 seconds was a great achievement. And as much as I despise the beep test, every 4 weeks I endured it and thanked god when it was over but every 4 weeks I still  saw improvement.

One of the best things I come away with from my sessions with Vicki is the knowledge that I’ve built and now I’m able to form my own routines. My sessions with Vicki ended when she relocated interstate however I struck up a training relationship with 2 of her other clients and to this day we continue to train together 3 days per week! I am always grateful for this and during our weekly training sessions we often chat about Vicki and refer to things she has taught us.On top of my fitness improvements and the continued healthy habits that came into my life stemming from my training with her, I built up a friendship with Vicki which remains so. I still think back to those days when I’d drag myself out of bed on a Monday morning and made those sessions and I know that money was wisely spent. So many times in the past 10 years when I’ve joined a gym or tried various trainers or embarked on some sort of health regime it feels to me like wasted time, energy and dollars. I am stoked to be able to say that being a client of Vicki’s is the one thing that stands out as something great and worthwhile I’ve done for the health of my body and mind. I definitely encourage anyone ready to embark on a training program to let Vicki lead the way.
